「Amazing from reception, food, service, room and the great staff. I would appreciate one queen bed as opposed to 2 single beds for the two of us because we are like twins and prefer 1 queen bed.」

「While the place is handsome and well kept, there are serious issues that I encountered that were reported here by others. The two most prominent were that the choice of rooms I was given was either a room with a door that opens strainght into the dining room, or a room with a bath ONLY (= no showerhead... in 2020...). My complaint resulted in the owner explaining to me this the room EXPEDIA assigned to me.... on my second night I moved to a room which was separate from its bathroom, not a great...

「Good: The rooms were comfortable,clean and the bed (mattress) was good. They needed another sheet on the bed (instead of just a comforter as the top sheet). The breakfast each morning was perfect, many choices, and all great tasting. The Staff were very attentive. Bad: The shower had some type of "black worms" coming up thru the drain. I choose this location because they had internet, however internet went out each night around 10pm. 」

「Extraordinary place. If you have any love of gardens, horticulture, farm-to-table food, or just general wholesome living then you will enjoy it here. The gardens and farm are not a performance - at over 2000 acres and something like 700 staff they somehow manage to seamlessly blend luxury with genuine production, and the variety is extraordinary. There is true vision behind this project.」

「Good quiet location, but easy access to Paarl town facilities and to the main N1 road. Spotlessly clean, great breakfasts and Lu is a very sweet person who makes you feel immediately at home - I would thoroughly recommend Lu's as a place to stay whilst visiting the area.」
