Location was great, we took airtrain and LIRR from JFK, then walked from Penn st station. When we arrived both lifts were not working, not a great start to a hotel with 19 floors and we'd been put on the 10th. The lift issue resolved (albeit temporarily) allowing us to get to our room, but then when we came out to go into town for evening meal, they'd failed as again, so we had to walk down 10 flights!! I emailed the manager Sandra immediately as she was not on site, 5 - 6 days have passed and she still has not replied! The room keys fail frequently, apparently it's a known issue, but again, if you have to keep going down to reception to resolve, it's not a great situation. On our last night there we met Alex who was great, so so helpful and understanding. If it wasn't got him, I'd have rated the service a zero.
Breakfast was plentiful but 'fast food' style. Coffee was available in reception 24/7. No laundry services and no smart TV. Good location, comfortable bed, but dated and failing hotel.
