"I had a really lovely stay here for 4 nights on a solo trip. Gorgeous location, really handy free shuttle into Santa Maria a couple of times a day and easy to book a (paid) transfer to and from the airport. Food is off a menu for breakfast and dinner (I opted for half board) good quality and large portions. Everyone I encountered was friendly and helpful. "

"Me and my family stayed at this resort for three days and the overall experiencing was good. Staff is very friendly every-time you ask any questions they are more than happy to answer. If you have kids this resort is for you, they have a children’s pool, children’s club and activities throughout the week. The food in general if your not a picky eater it’s good, they have the main buffet and three other restaurantes you can reserve for lunch/dinner. "

"Wonderful comfy beds . Nice breakfasts. Helpful staff. Clean. Piri piri restaurant on site was a disaster. Husband ordered a pizza finally got it .mine didnt turn up. Waiter said sorry coming in few minutes , half an hour later turned up with a plate of seafood rice. We were only one of 4 people. Just a bad night , he said he was sorry and no charge. Think someone was spaced out!"

"Great hotel for the price. Marble staircases and landings with good breakfast. Five mins to the beach and the restaurant strip. For good restaurant (shabby outside) out of hotel go right and first left. Then it’s on the left. Lots of other restaurants in area. Never had bad meal. "I stayed here for one night before catching a flight to another island. At €100 per night – the most expensive rate I’ve paid on Cape Verde – it was a huge disappointment. As a Gold Member on Expedia, I was promised a bottle of sparkling wine, which was missing. Instead, my room came with a cockroach (photo attached). Maybe it drank the wine for me. The air conditioning didn’t work, the shower drain was clogged, and mosquitoes thrived in the stagnant water. Housekeeping seemed questionable too...
