「Although it was probably because it’s their slower season, our booking got upgraded for free! The staff was very nice, friendly, and helpful. There was some mild wear and tear on the room (rips in the carpet, a switch for the fireplace missing, and the fire place did not work) the room itself was beautiful, cozy, and had a great view with a small sitting area. 「The property for being old is well maintained and very comfortable. Its in a very quiet area and we felt safe and comfortable the moment we arrived. Our only issue was there was a private ceremony that was being held at the restaurant and the outdoor seating was below our window. The amount of talking and yelling children was a disturbance and the hotel should have told us about the gathering or addressed the noise level.」
