The room is very basic, not too many facility. The breakfast is small. Hotels offer free Wifi, but difficult to log on. The only good thing about the hotel is the location. It is very near the Milan Church. Easy access to the Metro.

Positive is the walking distance to the Duomo and the Metro. Negative was the noise. Not only from the outside but the other hotel rooms. The front desk had friendly and unfriendly staff. The room was clean and in an old and used condition.

Hotel was in a great spot, overall wasn’t bad, however when I got to go get into my bed there was something stuck on to my bed sheets, it was too late andto go down and talk to the front desk person and I was extremely tired so I stretched it of with a key. Bathroom needs lots of work as the vent and light makes lot of noise. The bed and pillows were good and firm. The elevator in the building was very small and felt unsafe as it would bounce around a lot while your inside and was extremely slow.

The hotel’s location is unbeatable, just a 2-minute walk from the Duomo. I stayed alone, and while the room was very small and a bit worn out, it was quiet, had AC, a fridge, and seemed clean despite everything being a bit old. It’s a bit unusual that you have to leave the key at reception, but there’s always someone there, so it wasn’t an issue. Breakfast was a pleasant surprise—soy milk is available, and the croissants are excellent. Overall, an amazing price for such a prime location!

The only good thing was the location. Nothing worked in my room, AC did not work, even after telling the front desk no action was taken. Too loud as the tram is right in front of the hotel. The best thing was the location and that’s pretty much it.

I stayed in Milan at Hotel Rio for 2 nights. I am a young, female, solo traveller and I chose this hotel for its central location and convenient walking distance to all local sites, which makes me feel safer especially walking back in the evenings/dark. The location also made it easier to go back to the hotel during the day to drop things off. I booked a single bed room and got upgraded to a double bed room on arrival at no extra cost, which was a perk. I liked how breakfast was included and the rooms were clean and had everything you would need like a safe, fridge, toiletries etc. If I re-visit Milan, I will definitely stay here again and would recommend!
