「My wife and I stayed at Melaya Estate for 3 nights in September 2025. The villa is spacious and comfortable. There is a private pool and direct beach access. It's a quiet area, very peaceful. The staff is excellent. You tell them what you want from their menu and they bring the food to your villa at the specified time. The food is excellent. 「This was just the most perfect place to stay for us. Everything is, as described. The staff were amazing, made us feel so welcome and were always so helpful. You are added to a WhatsApp group on arrival and reception are so helpful, arranging all our transport when needed and a free shuttle to the local shops and around the site if needed. 「The host Nino is the best! He was so helpful and went above and beyond to make our stay welcome and also took us to interesting places. He helped us book all our excursions, to Mount Ijen. He took us around town and we got to see places off the tourist path! He also cooks food with his family nearby, and was willing to feed us at any time! 「We loved staying at Plataran Menjagen. The beautiful Villa was extraordinary. The Eco-Friendly resort had every thing we had hoped for and more with monkeys and deer running around and coming close to our Villa. The Villa had a sand beach and lagoon. 「近くに両替できるところもなく、買い物も車で行かないとダメだと着いてから知りました。スタッフさんに相談したところ、代わりに両替してくれたりホテルの仕入れのついでにフルーツを買ってきてくれました。両替などレートも良く、手間賃を払っても元が取れました。レストランの料理も美味しいくて良心的価格なので助かりました。近くの高級ホテルでも食事しましたが、値段の差だけです。ツアーも色々ありジャワ島のイジェン山も行くことができました。バードウオッチングはとんでもない視力のガイドさんが次々に鳥を見つけてくれて楽しめました。ただデンパサール空港から5時間車に乗るのがネックですね。」

「Our family villa was far from clean, it rather looked like it was left for deconstruction. Bathrooms had a really bad smell like they had not been cleaned. Also many spots on the wall and places in the house where you thought that no real had happened. Although hotel staff and the hotel restaurant were nice, the stay was unpleasant due to the lack of cleanliness.」
