「The Barn was a comfortable enough stay for the one night, although the hotel is a little tired and in need of some refurbishment. The pool, sauna and steam room were nice enough. The food in the restaurant was good and reasonably priced. There was a small mix up with the wine i ordered but that was put right. I was wakened at 07:00 by noise outside my room. Overall a pleasant enough stay though.」

「We had an amazing stay. It had everything we needed for a night. There were board games and plenty of books to keep you entertained. The bathroom was very tidy and clean. The bed was super comfortable. The details of the property added extra comfort too. We were visiting Stamford so it was an easy 15min drive through countryside. The owner was super friendly, very communicative and attentive. Thank you again! 」

「I only stayed one night & didn’t have breakfast so I can’t comment on the food. Check in & out was quick & efficient & the staff were very friendly. Room was on the small side but adequate. Bathroom was clean, modern & included a bath. I would definitely stay here again. 」

「The staff were very good and very helpful but the hotel needs a major overhaul on the outside and grounds our car was full of birds dropping this morning so it’s had to be cleaned to prevent any paint damage 」

「Stayed here for 3 nights do a conference locally and it was perfect. Friday enjoyed a beautiful meal in the restaurant. Staff went above and beyond. Very approachable if I had any questions. Looking forward to coming back next year! 」

「The shower head was covered in limescale and the silicone sealant mouldy, and the toilet rocked a little when you sit on it, the bedroom was spotless though, the staff lovely and the food was good! 」

「This was probably the weirdest hotel experience in my life. The huge manor has been converted to a hotel but has been neglected recently (including a time housing asylum seekers - Google it). The time around 10 of the 100+ rooms are being used so you “rattle around” especially when you’re the only guests!! The hotel needs investment but it has so much potential and you can imagine it being a thriving hotel in the past. Imagine Covid and only a few rooms allowed to open. We knew there were no...

「Never again! When I arrived they had no record of my booking, even though I showed them the booking confirmation. After almost an hour they agreed to give me a room. When we were in the room it was freezing, it was -2 in the room, we tried the heating but it didn’t work. Asked reception to move us but they said they didn’t have any other rooms made up. We left at 6am because we couldn’t stand the cold.」
