The good: this is an iconic property, filled with classic Hollywood. Loved the fabulous lobby, The Shirley restaurant, and decor throughout. Though located in a seedy area, it’s also quite convent to the hustle and bustle of Hollywood Boulevard.
The bad: the Cabana rooms are insanely noisy (you can hear every single word of conversations in the room next to you and in the hallway), house keeping less than friendly when they decided it was okay to wake me up two hours before checkout time despite the “do not disturb” sign hanging from my door and offered no apology (their cleanup in the room next to me sounded like a remodeling project!), there are no coffee makers in the rooms, outside alcohol is not allowed in the rooms (how absurd!), and the tvs in the rooms are laughably small.
