「The staff, the food at both dinner and breakfast were excellent. Parking is just across a quiet road. Our room however left us literally cold. Old building, 'wavy' floors, single glazed casement windows facing the prevailing - brisk - wind and an outside temperature of close to freezing. Then the heating gets switched off for the night ! Considering that this was the most expensive 'one nighter' on our recent trip, we were less than satisfied.」

「After a 10-hr journey, this was heaven. The staff were friendly and welcoming, food was plentiful and delicious, and the room was well-appointed. The shower had high-pressure hot water and the orange/basil scented soaps and lotions are divine. 」

「On the whole we really enjoyed the stay at this hotel and would probably stay here again as very convenient for match visits to Brunton Park. Breakfast was delicious. Bed was a bit hard for our liking and there wasnt a hairdrier. Staff were welcoming and friendly.」

「Been staying here for years used to be great with the pool and steam room gym etc now they arent in use..dissappointing.. nice clean room as always good shower and bath lovely staff..only downside now is a bad smell going through reception like a drain smell which needs addressing」

「I enjoyed our 1 night stay made all the better by Ishwar the host. Really nice man. Even got in the car to direct me to his car park after I got confused by directions. It's 2 mins away behind buildings over the road. About half a mile, flat walk to station and town centre but £1.80 on one of the many buses that stop outside. Fantastic breakfast with cereals if you wish, juice/tea and full English.」
