It was in a great part of town for tourists - very busy, lots to do. The check-in was in a different section from where you actually stay, which was also apparently the busiest section because it always took about 15-20 minutes to get the elevator which was quite annoying. Also, in the section where I stayed, the elevator didn't reach my floor - the top floor, which was manageable but also annoying lol. If you have tons of bags, you're pretty much out of luck walking up the last floor or two. The room that I rented in particular also had no windows.
However, I didn't find it disgusting or unbearable and it was ridiculously cheap so ^^ You make your choices.
