「A perfect gem」

「Lovely stay. The cottage was clean, well equipped and comfortable. Vicky was always on hand when needed and communication was great - super quick! Loved coming outside to the chickens and seeing the horses when we arrived. We had a really nice stay and would definitely recommend/return!」

「Lovely quain pub for meals & drinks hosts & staff were excellent & very helpful. Restaurant & bar had a great choice & reasonably priced. Rooms were small chalet stule adjacent to the pub, comfortable with parking adjacent to the challet making it easy. Will certainly use again if in the area. 」

「A lovely break in the Peak District. The hotel is warm and comfortable with a great restaurant and fantastic food. The service was exceptional. The only downside was the tired room and especially the bathroom that we stayed in. But I would recommend this hotel and would happily stay again. 」

「The room was ok. Nothing to write home about, bathroom adequate although the tiles were loose. Breakfast for which we paid on check in; well it was £10 each so not expensive but no options. No cereal although there were some boxes but no dishes or milk. No options on what we wanted. We’d booked it fo 8:30 am on a Sunday morning so not late. The server really couldn’t be bothered and wanted us gone. Didn’t ask if we wanted more coffee/tea. On the whole, I wished we’d have gone elsewhere for...

「Owners and staff were welcoming and the room was spacious, full facilities, warm. Approx 9 miles from Buxton, a rural but convenient for access. Adjacent to a main road, but no disturbances for sleep with the rooms to the rear of the pub. Enjoyed the well presented food. Lovely fish & chips. Slight issue over lasagne, quickly remedied/replaced. Excellent cooked breakfast. Good quality ingredients. Very good value, would recommend and probably return if in area again.」

「Lovely clean, comfortable room, slept like a log. Service in the bar/restaurant was superb. Got there just before the kitchen closed on a Sunday and nothing was too much trouble. Will 100% stay again. 」

「A well located hotel in quiet location. Ample car parking, some with electric car charging points. Easy to find reception entrance and greeted by a pleasant and efficient member of staff. Every where looked relatively new and clean accommodation was on the first floor accessed by stairs. Rooms were numbered clearly and the Smart key entrance was easy to use. Bedroom was well presented with a large comfy bed, 2 easy chairs and dressing table/desk, tea & coffee set on a tray. The only criticism...

「The hotel is very picturesque and characterful. The room was well appointed and decorated. You can eat downstairs in the pub and there was a good menu choice and a range of ales and lagers. Our food was very tasty. Breakfast options are limited. 」
