「Lovely place, large bar/dining area, private function room available, good food & drink options. Hotel rooms were clean & tidy but a little on the cold side (so do turn up the heating). A fabulous real fire in the bar area that was the best warm welcome after braving the baltic weather outside. Staff were very friendly and helpful. I'd definitely stay again, a good price that included breakfast 👍」

「The property has its own parking. The couple who own The Copper Kettle are so helpful. The bed was so comfy. Great price lovely breakfast. Would stay again. 」

「I had a lovely stay here. I stayed in one of the single rooms, it was very comfortable and had a nice view of the canal. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Very close to the train station which was convenient for me. Could not hear any trains or traffic and had a peaceful nights sleep. Would stay again :)」

「Extremely surprised to find this hidden gem of a hotel. Cited above an old pub oozing with character and history - nothing is level or plumb as was the original way of building - I bet the walls could tell some stories. Very clean and comfortable, warm and cozy. Prices good for town centre including breakfast which was also excellent.」

「Absolutely 5*, we stayed in the oasis suite and from the second we walked through the door - tranquil music playing , jungle relaxing vibes , perfect lighting we knew it was going to be an amazing couple of days. 「What a beautiful location. When my wife and i woke up in the morning, we watched the sunrise over the Dales. The same for breakfast as the dining room has ceiling high windows overlooking the cows and sheep grazing in the fields. The rooms are nice, clean, and quiet, and the beds are comfy. We quickly became friends with some of the other guests. The bottom line is that we had a wonderful time there. We highly recommend Throstle Nest Farm. 」

「The Stirk House is an absolutely beauty. It’s located in a picturesque setting surrounded by fields and sheep. If you want a low key, peaceful country setting with an amazing staff and restaurant, you found it! We loved staying here and definitely plan to come back. Lots of room to roam, walking paths and countryside roads to explore. Also, plenty of free parking was very nice. 10 / 10」
