「Awful staff communication. It took them 24 hours to bring us toilet paper. Asked around noon. Messages kept getting mixed up, different people replying. Around 6pm they told me it was too late. They understood very little English, which is understandable, except that English speaking is on the listing. When it finally came the next day, they left it outside the door without knocking or letting us know. They wouldn’t bring more paper towels and kept saying we had to pay if we want clean towels....

「Its a good location for us because its out of the really busy area, lots of good local food, 7-11, short walk or scooter to beach. Downside is we had ground floor closest to road and outside sitting area where people are hanging out talking loud at all hours. Also the air conditioner outside unit was in our bathroom and sink area, its hot like an oven, very weird construction. We asked to move if another room was available and owner said he'd let us know but never got back to us.」

「We had a great stay at Karon Beach Pool Villa, we loved having our own private pool, 3 generously sized bedrooms with large comfy beds (all with air con) and the staff kept everything nice and clean throughout our stay. It also had a reasonably well equipped kitchen although we didn’t cook much given the cheap and numerous eating options in Karon Beach village. It was a bit of a walk into town but downhill and plenty of tuk tuks to get up the hill at the end of the day! It would have been nice...
