「Our hotel overbooked the rooms and when we arrived told us there were no rooms available for us. They offered us a room at a nearby hotel instead, and dropped us off. The room at this hotel was filthy and located at a noisy trucker gas station on the highway. We even contacted the hotel 2 days before our arrival to confirm and they said nothing about being overbooked, so this was a stressful shock when we arrived. Absolutely would not recommend booking with Barandbed URT, or the hotel down...

「When you visit Khao Sok or Cheow Lan Lake, the thing to do is stay in one of these raft houses. You’ll take a long tail boat from the dam area to the raft house, which depending on the time of year, you may get rained on. Praiwan Raft house is great because it’s a more authentic experience and is more tucked away in the park, right near where many of the wildlife tours are, so there are animals right next to you. 「This place is a MUST STAY for anyone coming to Thailand. The physical landscape surrounding the 360 Issara is breaktaking. It is serene and quiet and filled with the sounds of nature - birds and monkeys! The lake water is clean and clear and warm like a bath. There are beautiful fish you can feed. The staff go above and beyond to ensure all your needs are met. The food is also top-notch. We wished we had spend three nights instead of two. 」

「Individual chalets with adjacent car port, suggesting this is more motel than hotel. Certainly not a 'resort'. Close to the airport but miles from anything else, just getting food delivered can be challenging. I'm sure the bed used to be a concrete tunnel support, the hardest mattress I've ever not been able to sleep on. Reception staff excellent, as is usual in Thailand.」
