「Great service from arrival to departure, all the staff were polite and helpful. Room was spotless and spacious, the bathrobes and slippers were a nice touch. 「I like its history and the Staff are excellent. I disliked: a) Wasting so much milk. I only needed a small spoonful. b) Morning shower.......the water was tepid at the most despite the fact that I reported it and was assured it would be better next day. c) Noisy, especially on Friday night. I could feel the bedroom floor vibrating. d) I found the dinner menu very limited after the first evening. 」

「We had a fabulous stay there, the rooms were well equipped and furnished, very warm & homely, felt newly decorated yet reflected the heritage of the very old building that The Windmill is. The breakfast is freshly cooked to order and was delicious and well presented.」

「Very cute place with uniquely designed, quirky rooms. I loved it! I really appreciated all the thoughtful touches (fudge, cold milk, port, selection of teas and coffee). I needed to leave earlier than breakfast was served, so was provided with a breakfast hamper, which was absolutely wonderful! Very, very good service in the restaurant too. 」

「Very friendly place, very busy in bar area but accommodation separate (& quiet 😊👍)… enjoyed looking round the bar area after breakfast next day, lots of interesting items/photos etc and nice to be away from the ‘corporate’ feel that most hotels seem to have these days. I’m sure we’ll be back.」

「We really enjoyed our stay here. Host was excellent: knowledgeable and welcoming. Location was good, secluded enough but easy to get to all areas of the island. Food selection in kitchen was fab and available 24/7, never had that at a b&b before. Room comfortable and internet readily available too. 」
