「When we arrived we were given room 12 but upon opening the door it was filled with builders rubbish. We then waited for a while and the manger came to see us saying he only had 1 other room but it has no hot water. He said we could use the spa for free and was very helpful and kind. He said he will re fund half our money back which I’m not sure how this happens as I still havent had this. If I get my money back I would definitely come again and we did have a really nice time 」

「Great one night stay, very friendly and easy check in. Went for a walk across the Chevin with friends also staying at the guesthouse. Nice drink in the pub afterwards before checking in. Great to relax in the room with an amazing view from the room and the balcony outside. Very quiet room even with neighbours either side, didn't hear a thing. Lots of parking and easy taxis to travel around in the evening. Powerful shower and full cooked breakfast in the morning.」

「One night stay room only which was very comfortable. Hotel is a grand old dame which is slightly tired in places but was very clean and with a warm welcome. The car park access should be better signposted when approaching from front of hotel. We did not experience the bistro nor bar.」

「We stayed here as a couple but also as part of a larger family group, including my niece and nephew (12 and 8 respectively). Our room was the Illingworth room. It was huge, facing out across the road to the lovely old church. Road noise was minimal and the bed extremely comfy with good pillows which were not too soft, perfect for us. We slept well. En suite was well laid out and tastefully decorated. A few hangers were on a rail for our clothes and a hairdryer, iron and ironing board were also...
