I recently stayed at Deerhurst Resort and, unfortunately, the experience was quite underwhelming. The resort felt outdated, with old furnishings and amenities that did not meet expectations. For example, the fridge was extremely small, and there were no microwave or kettle provided in the room, which made it inconvenient to prepare even the simplest of drinks or snacks. The safe in the room was not functioning, which was another disappointment.
One of the biggest letdowns was the lack of dining options. The resort only had one restaurant, and there was no room service available. This greatly limited our meal choices, particularly given the remoteness of the location. Additionally, essential items like a toothbrush and toothpaste were not provided upfront; I had to call and request these basic amenities, which should have been readily available.
Housekeeping service was also subpar. No one cleaned the room or changed the bed sheets during our stay, which made the stay feel far less comfortable. The only redeeming quality of the resort is its location, which is scenic and convenient. However, the poor service and outdated facilities overshadowed what could have been a pleasant getaway.
In summary, while the location is ideal, the overall experience at Deerhurst Resort was disappointing due to its lack of modern amenities, poor service, and inadequate housekeeping. It does not provide the value one would expect from a resort of this reputation.
