The property has carpets from the 1990s that are ripped and a trip hazard (especially on the stairs). Curtains are hanging off the rails and ripped. The “best” room has a shower curtain over the window facing out onto the main road. This wouldn’t be a problem if it was long enough. However it is so short, you end up exposing your genitalia to the main road. To make it worse, Expedia clearly allows properties like this to be advertised on their website and refuse to sort the problem for you when you report it.

Ok for a place to crash for a few hours, but no good not for much else. Shower didnt work and tap water was spitting out dirt so couldnt even brush my teeth

Lovey, helpful staff. Hotel room needs a deep clean, dust and peeled off paint on the curtains which all came down when drawing them. Fabric pealing off the head board. Mould in the bathroom. Broken drain on the bathrom floor which was dangerous. We are not fussy, so to put this review is unlike us. But was ultimately a place to put our heads down and sleep for a night so did the job but wouldnt want to be staying here for more than 1 night. Beds were confortable.

Albany was a good hotel. We stayed for one night and it was good for what it was. The place had seen better days, I want to believe that it was under revamp but I cannot confirm this. The staff at reception was lovely and check in was quick. Lots of stairs up to the room, we were the second floor. There was a lift but was unavailable. The structure of the building is quite old but it was unique. Parking out the back of the hotel was good but can be quite hard to find. When arriving at the room after a lot of stairs, we opened the door and were pleased to see a decent room. It wasn’t amazing but it was all the basic things you need. There was an unpleasant smell when we walked in. It appeared to come from the bathroom but after a while you don’t noice it and a bit of perfume did the job. Again, the room was very old looking but it was kinda quirky. When you first walk in there is a small hall with a large mirror/wardrobe then a bathroom and the master room. The bathroom was stocked with mini shampoos, body wash and soap as well as a hand towel and towels. We didn’t use the shower as didn’t need too but from looking at it, it was decent. Was a little grubby on the shower floor but other than that seemed okay. All in all was a functional bathroom, wasn’t a 5 star bathroom and like I said had the smell but did the job. The master room was spacious. The bed was super comfortable and had tea facilities and a TV. For what it is, it’s a little expensive but all in all did the job.

Turned up and was told I was only allowed to stay for the one nIght out of three booked. Still one month later chasing for a refund - avoid OYO disgusting service This guesthouse also was disgusting.

On arrival hotel was closed. No explanation. No email or correspondence to let me know. 3 hour trip with a 4 and 5 year old to be left stranded without accommodation.

We were looking for a fairly cheap hotel for 1 night as we were going to the football. On arrival we saw the gentleman on the reception who was very helpful. No issue with any off the staff. The hotel unfortunately is in need of a makeover and was a little run down in areas. No least the bathroom and room in general. Didn't spoil our visit but needs a lot of updating.

Awful hotel - do no stay here . I can go into a million things - dirty , unfriendly etc …. They charged me £15 cash for parking and then had the cheek to ask me for another £10 on top because the hotel next door decided they wanted to get in on the action as well . Bunch of crooks - really don’t know how this hotel has stayed in business .

The room was large and clean. It would be better to have two pillows on the beds rather than one. A hair dryer and hangers in the wardrobes. The water could have been hotter in the shower. The staff were very pleasant.
