「All the rooms are on the ground floor, separate from the main building. The one we stayed in was a good size, clean and comfortable. We were here for 3 nights, however you could easily stay much longer as there was plenty of drawer space and a decent sized wardrobe. 「This place is outstanding. It’s a lovely location in a quiet village a few minutes walk away to the shop and pub and within minutes your in the countryside exploring the WWII history on offer. It’s very quiet and safe and free parking right outside the door. The cottage is very nice and is a mixture of modern bits mixed with old but has a very well stocked kitchen, a large comfy living area, a down stairs bathroom and toilet and two upstairs bedrooms. I will definitely be back.」

「Have stayed before so knew what to expect. The owners are very easy to get on with plus very polite and friendly. Best part of the stay is the English breakfast which is superb all of the trimmings. The breakfast is worth 5 stars alone.」

「Was a nice room. But wow was it roasting hot. We could find anywhere of turning the heating down or off so had a very hot night, even with fans on. The toilet however had no heating so was the opposite and freezing. Nice to have our own little room but think it was too pricey, compared to the many other hotels we stay in for major race events. Breakfast was toast, yogurts or 3 choices of cereal, nothing for vegetarians and not really a continental as offered. 」

「Good value stay, convenient for where I needed to be. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast doesn’t start until 9am which was too late for us, but they sorted out some pastries for us instead. 」

「Dunston Hall was a beautiful stay. Friendly staff (especially Sally at the front desk), comfortable beds and quiet. I love historic hotels, so this definitely fit the bill. Would definitely stay here again!」

「We wanted to treat ourselves, and we were not disappointed at all. All the staff were friendly and helpful. From the very friendly and kind, member of staff at reception, ( I apologise if you were a manager ) who even though we were an hour early for booking in, and we said we would have a coffee first, ran upstairs to check out room was ready.
