「The staff were extremely helpful and on hand if and when we needed them. This is an old building which has kept its character which added to the experience. The room had an en-suite and was clean and the water was nice and hot. They don’t do evening meals but Okehampton is not far away so eating out is not a problem. Breakfast was excellent and plenary of choice.」

「This was an unscheduled stop on route to Cornwall due to bad weather. What a pleasant surprise, a beautiful old Inn a short distance from the A30. The staff were friendly and helpful, great service a lovely evening meal and an excellent breakfast. We will definitely be returning with hopefully better weather.」

「Brilliant place to stay for a stop-off while travelling or as a base for exploring this lovely part of the south-west, it is a really easy and comfortable place. We were in room 1 which had nice views of the church and was right next to the well-equipped kitchen area where you can go and make yourself a drink or relax in the lounge. 「Really nice room in a lovely coaching inn. Quality bedding , towels etc. comfy bed. Booked & prepaid thru Hotels.com and when we arrived we were a little taken aback to be charged an extra £20 for our little dog. It would have been nice to have known about this extra fee beforehand as it came as a bit of a shock , I didn’t get any reply from accommodation following my messaging them & also leaving a telephone message to say we’re bringing our dog. Other than that , a good stay. 」

「All in all me and my partner loved our short stay away in a beautiful shepherds hut. It was out of the way and so peaceful, i’d definitely stay here again. The only thing that let it down was the door latches and there was a gap in the bathroom door. 」
