「Lovely hotel, comfortable rooms, nice breakfast」

「We finally got to The Holly Hill Inn, due to the weather (snow) we were contacted a couple of times by the staff, warning us about the weather, which was nice. When we arrived the staff were so friendly and helpful and we arranged to have food in the restaurant, which was first class, and the breakfast in the morning was just as nice,, so highly recommended this place…. Definitely booking again thank you」

「We loved the hotel and where it was so handy for shops and places to eat. The bed was comfy and loved the room. The staff were nice. The room just needed a curtain that would stay up and the carpets just needed a clean. Cant wait to come back. 」

「Lovely property overlooking the Green.. rooms were very well decorated and seemed very opulent.. the room we had though felt a little cramped.. the bed was very big. But was awkward to get around.. the tv should be on the wall.. the bed was so high off the ground that you couldn’t see the tv properly! And my biggest bug bear in hotels etc… no dressing area.. no where to sit to dry hair etc!! But the hotel was very clean.. staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was lovely… easy...

「the room was not warm enough and although mentioned to the staff, it was some time before the heating was sufficient. The tea maker was in a cupboard on the floor. This is the first time I have encountered this in a hotel, This was not easy to make the first cup of tea in the morning. Having mentioned these two points, the staff we met were very helpful and pleasant. 「The bed and breakfast accommodation was very nice, clean tidy and well presented. Had a meal in the main pub which was also very nice. Breakfast (cooked English) was served which again was freshly prepared and a choice of cereals was also available.」

「Lovely historical property and good value for money. Quiet location, great stop off for travelling on the A66, with Barnard Castle just a short drive. Easy check into cosy courtyard cottage. Nicely decorated and furnished, though the bed would benefit from a better quality mattress. Friendly staff and good breakfast. Evening pub menu satisfactory but not exceptional.」

「What I love this hotel the most is the breakfast, its by order and put you feel like on vocation (I am on biz trip). The staff was very nice as well. The hotel location is perfect and nearby market place, very easy to walk around this lovely city. The only thing that need to improve is the internet connection, it was that good in my room.」
