Loved this historic hotel. The photographs throughout the hotel and beautiful grounds showed the history wonderfully. The staff was very welcoming and pleasant. We found the beds to be incredibly comfortable.
Only two small suggestions. The complementary breakfast was nice, but there wasn’t much to it. Some eggs and a breakfast meat addition would be nice. If you wanted to promote it as complimentary and not loose money, maybe up the hotel nightly price by $10 - $20. Last suggestion, we had room 231, which was a lovely room but it overlooked the outer staircase which had a bright outdoor light and clear view of the staircase. If the window was open and curtain closed partially it did nothing to block either due to the direction that it opened, right to left. If it had been built to open left to right, light and privacy problem would have been solved.
