「Liked hotel, lovely old fashioned atmosphere and spacious rooms. Had to change room due to unacceptable lumpy mattress. New room mattress was better but still needed to be upgraded or replaced. This one issue spoiled what was otherwise an excellent hotel. 」

「High-end country pub with excellent restaurant, the perfect weekend get away slot. Lovely staff, good service and near to a real-life castle. Although I recommend avoiding the room with a bathroom upstairs - cool initially but ultimately annoying in the middle of the night.」

「Needed to stay in the area 4 nights for work, chose this hotel because it was attached to a pub so after a day's work wouldn't have to go into Ledbury to eat. The pub was not open and I didn't see any member of staff during the stay. I had a phone number which I used to ask for more milk and coffee in the room, came back to find a couple of sachets balanced on the windowsill. No one came int the room to clean, change towels, etc. 」

「Fabulous place to stay. Accommodation was clean, comfortable, and cosy. Food was delicious and it’s good to know that it’s mostly locally grown and sourced, including the gin! Everyone is friendly and helpful. Location is quiet, and great if you’re travelling with a dog/s. Absolutely faultless and wouldn’t hesitate to stay again. 」

「Food here is excellent quality, good beer selection and very friendly professional staff. Have stayed 3 times so far and will be staying plenty more times. This is the place we have chosen to stay when on business in the area. There are also some great walks in the area and a nice well stocked local shop 」
