Beautiful sand beaches but definitely BYO stuff. Not a lot of amenities across the beach so plan ahead.

Te water is yucky right now, but its still cool to look at.
the beach was beautiful but the water was BROWN!! Not clear with brown sand -- brown yucky color.
Beaches are closed due to algae.
There’s a lot to do if you have small kids. Check out the reasonably priced Children’s Museum, the Railroad Model Train Museum, or some of the playgrounds around town. If your family geocaches, there are A LOT of caches in the area.
