I have stayed at this property two times. The first time was in the hotel portion, which was clean and very nice. I get their staff five stars!!!! The second time I stayed I rented out a cabin. Sherena Has five star customer service and deserves a raise she is awesome and so helpful!!! The property is so beautiful and I love all the little walking trails. I really enjoyed the cabin for privacy reasons and it was very cozy and Homie. Looking forward to the new pool remodel. This will be a secret spot I go to for many years to come thank you so much Sherena for all your help!! ❤️

I arrived one hour and thirty minutes before the stated time i would be able to check in, and i entered thenoffice hreeted the clerk and asked if there would be a chance i coupd get checked in early. I was quickly met with the respincw that there would be a $25 dollar fee for an early check in. I understand policy but couldnt justify paying nearly a third the total price of the room for the night so that i could be in thenroom an hour earlier. The day was cold and wet since a storm had developed. I did not feel like standing outside in the cold winter rain and asked if it would be ok for me to sit in the lobby and wait out my hour until i could get checked in. Upon asking yhe clerk if i could find a seat in the lobbynto stay warm i was quickly met with the response "i dont think rhe manager would like that." As the disbelief of what she just said sank in. I looked around the easily 20 foot by 30 foot lobby to realize there were no seating arrangements even in the lobby. Lots of spots that could easily accommodate a chair or love seat, yet all i see are empty floors and clear walls. As i as i turned buttenening my jacked preparing to embrace the cold, I thought to myself how uninviting the lobby and staff came across to me. I just could not understand how odd and uncaring could this place be to have no seatsin the lobby for people to relax and then tell me I was not invited to stay in the lobby while I was trying to escape the inclement weather. It only got worse

Me and my husband were placed in a room between two loud, uncouth parties who were up and outside until well beyond two in the morning. The walls are so thin you could hear everything, we barely slept. I cannot recommend this place based on the inability to relax and rest after a long day of travel.

I booked 2 nights plus paid for insurance. My sister has not been well. On the first day I called and cancelled the booking. I was charged for the first night. I was told that because I gave them a 24 hour cancellation notice I would not be charged for the second night. Expedia charged two nights and the insurance was ridiculous. (Pages of questions and they wanted doctor’s report).

The cabin was clean and nice but like any hotel room anywhere lacked obniince. It's kitchen lacked any utensils not a single fork. Not a pot or pan . couldn't heat anything. And the fireplace didn't work. We were told we were given the only room with a working fireplace. The room was freezing cold and took all the first day and night to heat up with the little wall unit. There was just a sheet a light blanket on the bed. They did provide two extra blankets when asked.

The staff were excellent. They took care of everything quickly and they accommodated all our requests for early checkin and a roll away bed. The location was great, really close to downtown and it's got come charm. The facilities in the queen chalet could use refreshing and updating.

The rooms are again and have some deferred maintenance. The large parking lot provides plenty of easy parking. A beautiful rushing creek parts through the property with a lovely waterfall - at least during my stay in February. The creek may be quiet later in the year

A diamond in the rough. This property has sooo much potential and a wonderful past. I know efforts are being made to bring back the glory. I think the price reflects the older conditions. The room was clean and roomy. I will definitely stay here again when in Nevada City and I really look forward to seeing the restaurant open again and new life put into this gem.

no heat, took 45 mins to move to another room, had to wait outside the cold room with my 13 year old dog while keys were being "prepared". then my lady and i were speaking loudly- APPARENTLY there was a guest staying right next to or below us (i never saw another guest or saw lights on and we moved 1 room to the right) and after my lady left the POLICE SHOWED UP and asked what happened. i explained- no big deal- and then they showed up AGAIN an hour later and told me i had to leave- I WAS MAKING ABSOLUTELY NO NOISE I WAS LAYING DOWN- In the pouring rain!! i had no car because she left for the night- and i was asked (nicely) by the police to leave the property!! i did nothing wrong! never saw a guest! the front desk never even notified me that we were talking too loud!! i got hypothermia standing under an awning, as it was too late to check jnto another hotel!!

I was not notified in any way that the property was under construction. We stayed during Thanksgiving. Restaurant was not open. Ice machines did not work. Road very rough. Blackberry brambes everywhere, that cut my Daughter and dogs ear.

I ended up canceling the reservation because the toilet continued to clog and overflow. Had a very uncomfortable bed too. The grounds are very neat and have a lot of history, but I can’t say I recommend this place.
