I had never been here before. Got it last minute to go to Luminaria in Galena. I thought it was a room. It was more like a cabin or a suite. Wow. Superb bed. Decor. Kitchen with everything except stove (microwave, sink, toaster, refrigerator), glasses, silverware, plates, small serving area to prepare food). The view (I faced south, away for highway) was delightful - the rolling countyside - which even in winter with snow was sublime. Lot's of light through large windows. Quiet place - simply did not hear any noise. TV was nice and working. Chairs and work station fit the bill. Nice lighting, both overhead and lamps throughout. Very warm overall color scheme. There is no room service, but lot's of places just up the RT 20 going to and into Galena, so no issue. No housecleaning while you stay unless you call (I did not - my parents taught me how to clean up after myself when a guest at someone's home) and I felt more like a guest than a stranger in a motel room. Plenty of towels and cleaning supplies in the ample cabinets.
The main thing for me was the gas fireplace in the wall between the main living area (bed) and the bathroom. The fireplace is visible in both rooms - main and bathroom. It was exquisite. In the bathroom was a large whirlpool with the fireplace visible through glass right next to you. It was magical. And I was alone. Nice shower for those who aren't whirlpool people. I ran some water and turned on the jets to see if they were clean. They were. Yes.
