「Even though we only stayed for two nights, it was really worth it. Ray and Sanchia were super helpful with anything we asked for or requested, the view is even more awe inspiring when you see it compared to the photos. The room is very spacious with all the usual amenities, as well as a few snacks and drinks and house keeping every day; if you need it. Lots of things to do around and nice places to eat. Don't be scared of the steps, they are definitely doable ;) 」

Our first floor room was spacious and well decorated with all ameneties including tea/coffee, fridge, beach towels etc. TV had Netflix etc. More St James than Kalk Bay but only 10mins walk to Kalk Bay. 「We booked two weeks before our stay but when we arrived there were initially only construction workers on site and the hotel was closed. A manager was called and surprised that we had been able to book as Stoep was meant to be offline for renovations. 「Devonport House is a wonderful guest house in a very nice and quiet neighborhood. Jenn and Jacques are great hosts and very helpful with tips for restaurants and sightseeing.
