We were in town for an afternoon wedding. We called ahead of time to make sure we could check in at 1. When we arrived at one, we were informed that the rooms were not ready and they couldn't do anything about it. We ended up going to the wedding venue and changing in their bathrooms. After we returned from the wedding (four hours after the official check-in time), we were sent to two non-adjoining rooms (although we requested and confirmed by phone the day before and earlier that day that we had adjoining rooms). The rooms were not cleaned and the beds were stripped, with dirty linens piled in the middle of them. We went back downstairs, got two more rooms, not adjoining again (they said none were available), and finally got to relax.
The only good thing about this stay was the breakfast. I was not only upset about the entire aggravation, but also by the lackadaisical attitude of the staff. We interacted with four different staff members and not one apologized, tried to make it right, offered a discount, perk, or anything. They acted like we were a bother.
