They put us a room that had water leak fixed the day before but obvious one check it. I took a shower and it leaked into the room and saturated the carpet. They were booked and wanted us to stay in the room. After complaining we got another room. The power went out while we were away and the room key did not work. I waited at front desk for 20 minutes to get in the room. We had no heat so the front desk told us it would have to wait until business hours to get fixed. It was 10:30pm. We had no heat all night. My brother in law fixed it the next morning, the power outlet just needed reset!! You think they would know that with a power outage.

I travel to the area for work and this is a very convenient location to stay. There are problems when it comes to noise though.... There doesn't appear to be any noise blocking between the rooms. Other guests in neighboring rooms were extremely loud and singing until almost midnight. At times there was shouting in the halls and staff didn't appear to do anything about it.

Was nicht so gut war, dass nicht einmal die Abfalleimer trotz 4 Nächte Unterkunft einmal geleert wurden und es auch sonst keinen Roomservice gab. Dss Frühstück war einfach, aber was solls. Es warmes / großes Frühstück kann man eben nicht überall erwarten. Die Zimmer- wände sind dünn, aber nach schweren Wanderungen in den Bergen schläft man nach kurzer Zeit trotz Geräusche aus dem Nachbarzimmer schon relativ schnell ein. Alles in allem gut und 4 Sterne. Evt. buche ich sogar das Hotel noch einmal in der Zukunft.

Staff was friendly and answered all questions promptly. Room was clean and had Dish TV and wifi. That's all we needed for our short stay. It is absolutely not the hotel's fault but there is construction happening so getting in and out is a little annoying but will hopefully be great once it's done...lots of dirt and dust!

Bed Bugs buyer beware
I booked 3 rooms in this hotel for my employees who were in Fairplay for a night job. One of my employees checked in and upon going to his room it was not cleaned and they had to give him a new room. That same employee then ended up getting bug bites all over him from bed bugs. He has a high risk newborn at home and couldn't even go home after a 12 hour shift because he had to go wash all his clothes. I tried reaching the hotel directly, but they do not answer their phones. I then reached out to Hotels.com for a refund and they came back saying the hotel refused them and there is nothing else they could do. So beware.... Hotels.com is still offering this hotel even though ive told them about bed bugs and the hotel probably did nothing about it... room 120.....

We stayed here the night before climbing Quandary Peak for a different experience than staying in Breckenridge or somewhere more popular. The hotel was surprisingly clean, well-maintained, and comfortable. It's obviously not a luxury hotel, but it's not a crack motel either. It felt like a roadside hotel on the nicer end of things. Fairplay is also a true mountain town before the tourists hit. If you want a more authentic, rural experience I definitely recommend the town and this hotel.

Old, dirty, gross. We paid @$200/night. Ridiculous cost for this hotel. But, the only redeeming quality was that the staff was helpful & friendly.

Got in late at night and keys were sitting on the counter with my name on them. Anyone could have swiped them and gotten into the room. Construction crew shift change happened around 4:30am, super loud could hear every footstep, door open/close, showers running everywhere. Got no sleep.

Breakfast was all packaged foods- donuts, bagels and muffins- nothing healthy:-( They did let us check in early which was nice! Outside area was under construction so messy and not easy to maneuver from the main road - expensive for what was offered.
