「We only stayed one night. The room had plenty of space, the bed and bathroom were lovely and clean. The owner was very friendly and showed us to our room. The shower was fantastic, nice and powerful. The wardrobe was a little quirky and awkward to use. I could not get the TV to work at all, but I brought my laptop so wasn't really bothered. 「This is the perfect stay for those who holiday with their hound. Our room had its own private garden which backed on to a popular pathway. Our every need was catered for - from a welcome cake to a delicious breakfast and plenty of drinks for the room. There are dog-friendly restaurants nearby, including the lovely Devonshire Arms. You’re only a short drive away from Chatsworth and Bakewell etc. 」

「The rooms are in a converted cottage and have been nicely decorated and furnished. The building is old so you cannot escape the uneven floors/doors/windows etc whilst that gives a charm it is also brings a slight inconvenience in that the window could not be opened to allow for fresh air. 「We really enjoyed our stay at the Tudor lodge hotel. The host was very friendly and the breakfast was delicious. The only issue was we were in the lower ground front room so it was a little noisy. The room would also benefit from some privacy blinds as we kept the curtains shut because there was a bus stop right outside the window. 」
