「A classic hotel with comfortable, spacious rooms. Friendly and competent receptionists. Nice breakfast. Continent breakfast self-served buffet or hot, customised English breakfast That take quite a while. If come by train, need to get a taxi ride of 8-10 minutes. We arrived late in the evening. Have to queue for half an hour at the taxi stop.」

「A comfortable stay overall. The room was a little tired and the room doors don’t keep sound out, which might be an issue if you’re a light sleeper. Service was very friendly. Food prices were shockingly high… £17.50 for a club sandwich is what I’d expect to pay at a 4-5* in London. The Salutation across the road is a much better choice for food. If you just need a comfy bed for the night then it’s still a decent choice. 」
