Love the grand foyer. All of the marble and massive ceilings. The room was a wonderful King suite. The tub was not a jacuzzi but very deep and great for soaking. We also used the free shuttle service ( which stops at 10 pm).

My favorite part about the hotel is the large hot tub in the room. I love the shuttle service and being in Greektown. Restaurants and the Casino are right around the corner and you don’t have to worry about parking bc it’s complimentary valet. There were some stains on the carpet and some hair in the hot tub. My husband cleaned up the hair lol but I can overlook this bc the bed was comfy and it was an overall great experience.

We thought the service really set the Atheneum apart from other hotels we have stayed at. Unfortunately we were only in town for one night so we didn’t get the experience much of the surrounding area. When we come back we will definitely book the Atheneum again.

I had the suite with the jetted tub. The tub jets had peeled paint which made them look dirty. The tub also only had cold water had to call maintenance. They were in our room for about an hour fixing it. Coffee mugs on were dirty as well. Very mid experience. Bartenders were nice & guest services.

This was my first time staying but not my last! This hotel was clean, staff was pleasant and helpful, and it's directly across from a parking structure (about $35 for an overnight stay, in around 430 out by 11) so you can easily park yourself or use valet if you wanted. I loved the free shuttle option to get us to and from our concert at LCA. I also loved then when we left, the location it's right around the corner from the highway. The only bummer about the room is that the bathroom has one of those frosted clear walls so when someone is in the bathroom, you can't see them, but the light of the bathroom illuminates the bedroom.

Interesting architecture and cool decor, our room was very spacious. All the staff were friendly and helpful. However cleanliness was a problem, the shower mat was dirty and the iron had something stuck to it that made me concerned about using it.
