Upon arrival, I overheard the desk clerk telling the people ahead of me they had a pipe burst so there was no water in the hotel. When it was my turn, she never mentioned it until I asked, and she confirmed there was, in fact, no water and no eta for repair. I asked if they were offering any discount and she said no but she could cancel my booking with no charge, I asked her to do so, but in my haste I didn't ask for a printed receipt... The reservation was for $106.97, but the refund from the hotel GM was for $79.97, I'm not sure why I was charged anything, since I never checked in and the problem was with their facility, not my issue. A suggestion for management, if they're reading this, in a situation like this, the MANAGER should be at the front desk. You could have at least offered bottled water at check in or some discount or any other compensation, but to just turn people away, there are tons of hotels in the area in this price point with water, so I made the logical choice. I have stayed at this property at least 6 times in the past...
