「The queen Victoria was a lovely local village pub and was pleasantly surprised that we were staying in a little chalet 1 of 4 just outside near the beer garden lovely and warm as it was freezing outside nice and clean with tea and coffee... once settled we went for a glass of wine in the bar the atmosphere was relaxed and friendly and had a log burner where we sat enjoying our wine.... as we left in the carpark we heard little goats bleating which were in the corner of the beer garden so had a...

「Great room, small but very quirky and lots of extra touches such as bottled water, fresh milk and KitKats! Just had to remember to duck through door frames. Good sized bathroom and shower plus walk-in wardrobe provided plenty of storage. Cooked breakfast was excellent. Didn’t sample rest of pub food as only stayed one night but the list of desserts was impressive. Will definitely stay again when next in the area.」

「Just went that extra bit to make the stay really lovely. Gin and cocktails in the room was a nice touch, as was personal service from the owner. You could tell he was very proud of it. Excellent breakfast too. Just be aware, Hotels.com don’t tell you the restaurant and bar are closed Mon and Tue, and places to eat in BM are few. 「Excellent hosts - thanks Sue and Clive for your hospitality, excellent food (I enjoyed the Steak & Kidney Pie for supper, and an excellent breakfast served to my specification!), and great welcome.
