A really disappointing stay, unfortunately I had Pre-booked for 1 week, or I would have checked out much earlier.
During my 7 nights stay, I suffered 3x nights of electricity loss, and power wasn’t restored, so being dependant on a breathing CPAP machine I couldn’t sleep.
To make matters worse, one evening there was a total loss of hot water when I arrived back at the hotel at around 8pm, after a long hard day. I escalated this and was continuously fobbed off, told it would be sorted in 10mins, so I would then be sat waiting for 45mins / 1 hour before ringing reception to chase for an update, and being told the same thing for hours on end. Eventually at 2:am, I gave up waiting as I was exhausted and had to try get some sleep without having a shower, yet again, suffering another loss of power in the night, so another sleepless night… UNBELIEVABLE!
I handed a bag of clothes in for laundry. The bag was returned 2 days later, absolutely stinking of a vomit-like smell. I called reception, they sent someone up to my room. He agreed this was unacceptable and asked if he could re-wash the clothes, so I agreed. The next day the clothes came back smelling exactly the same. I was SO disappointed. I was then accused of not understanding that this is the “SCENT” of clean washed clothes with the soaps they use?!?
I decided enough was enough and moved hotels and took my laundry with me to wash at the new hotel instead.
Avoid at all cost if you want a restful hotel.
