"This lodge was just perfect for my solo weekend. The team are so helpful and friendly and everything was organised so well. The pool is a dream as well as the seating areas and so much thought has been put into the design. "

"First visited nearly 30 years ago and have stayed several times since. It's a lovely hotel for a short stay and it has an amazing staff. The facilities are excellent, great for young families and can be lively in the evenings (ask for a room away from the music in need). The restaurants are all open attracting monkies, crows and sparrows so some surfaces are likely not very clean but generally not a nuisance. The hotel's reputation is well-deserved."

"The property was absolutely beautiful. It was truly a living paradise. They kept the grounds and the pool very well maintained. They service the rooms daily, if you request it, meaning fresh linen on a daily basis. The property was absolutely perfect. However, it paled in comparison to the staff. "Modern hotel with large pool and a good selection of restaurants. Good view of the city especially at dawn and sunset. There is a beach but not sure about water quality. Pool was good but a shower in the changing room would be useful. Room fairly small but well equipped. Glass door and window to the bathroom is ok for privacy but the light wakes the other occupant at night Not cheap but worth the cost "

"It was in a beautiful setting and the staff were nice and generally professional. My worry is that someone called me witj a 1 (USA) number, claiming to be from Expedia and asking for my credit card details. I found that truly worrisome. How did the person know I had booked? You need to look into that."

"We had a good stay at Lion in the sun. People there are super friendly and really doing their best for you to have a good stay. The rooms are nice, beds are comfortable and so are the chairs. The resort is beautiful with flowers, trees and well maintained swimming pools. "Good enough to be right in the heart of mombasa. Walkable to mombasa mall. Great patio entertainment every night. Just the main reception charges extras for guests. My other hotel didn’t do it so it must be a company decision to do that. $2000 ksh per night. That’s a lot compared to booking for 2 travellers when booking. "
