"Conveniently located within walking distance to the beach, boardwalk, and downtown. However, the property is very outdated and could benefit from some renovations to improve the overall guest experience. While the room was clean, we had to purchase our own towels as the provided ''white'' towels were yellowed and worn out. Investing in updates to the facilities and amenities would make this property much more appealing. "

"My friends and I stayed here for a short girls trip! Highly recommend!! Hotel Carmel is beautifully decorated, all of the staff was very friendly and helpful, and we especially loved the afternoon cheese, cookies and wine! The morning breakfast is light but filling and fresh! We could see the ocean from our hotel door. We would definitely stay there again! "

"What a beautiful place to stay at. We had an ocean view, walkout room to the fire pits. We had a fireplace in the room. It was such a charming room. The view of Pismo Beach was great! We will definitely stay again."

"The people that checked us in and out were so kind and knowledgeable. I saw some other feedback about the blankets sliding off and we did find that to be true. The problem can be fixed by tucking the top sheet over the blankets into the bedframe. Happy exploring!"

"Nice property with very modern features. Friendly staff, warm jacuzzi, steamroom, and sauna. Need a restroom accessible to the guests using the steam and sauna though. There is a restroom near those spaces, but it is indicated as “employees only” and they get upset when guests use it, unfortunately."
