"We had room 1602 in the middle building...it has to have the best view from a hotel suite on the planet. The hotel buildings are right on the beach and there is a nice (easy) walk around the cliffs to the town. The waterfront area of the town is currently (2025) a huge land reclaiming building site. "The staff was incredible. They ensured we had a booking for our bus the next morning and dropped us off at the bus location after breakfast. Breakfast was quite extravagant with very beautiful views. The roof top pool wasn’t very fancy but had a great view and was everything you could need. "

"First of all the staff and breakfast were amazing. The hiking trip organised by the hotel was awesome. The location is really good. The downsides there were lots of bugs in my room. I killed them all and i thought that was the end of it then on the last day upon checking out there was a huge cockroach on the floor, i presume their mother. The water pressure for the hot water didnt seem to exist at times and you had to run it for a while to make it work. "

"Cat Ba is a resort town with lots of mid-range restaurants and markets selling the same thins. We had hoped to bicycle more but it is very hilly and the bicycles available were not up to the task. With non-beach water, there isn’t that much to do. Roza Palace, is a nice hotel with friendly staff. "

"This hotel is just outside of cat ba town. to go out for dinner in the evening involves a bit of a walk up a hill into town. It is down in the harbor where you catch the boats to go to Halong Bay. It is immaculate. the breakfast is served to you. It is not an all you can eat breakfast but it is certainly sufficient. But if. you want an extra coffee, they want to charge you for it. "Amazing host. Can't give my compliments enough to Dat. He cared for each of us like we were a member of his family and I can say to any traveller you will always be in safe hands. He knows all the best spots to go and has access to some of the best restaurants on the island. On top of this the hotel was modern, clean and the restaurants food was incredible. I literally can't think of a single issue with Seoul 2."
