Pretty strong waves but overall beach is nice
Unfortunately, for three of the four days of my stay there was a massive amount of black seaweed in the water and on the shore. I understand the city cleans up the seaweed on the beach every other day. But I was there over the weekend and no one did. Fortunately, overnight and into the last day, the current changed significantly and pushed this massive slick of black seaweed further down the beach. So we could actually go in the water and swim.

Get there as earliest possible to have a good spot.
They lock the gates to access the beach around like 7pm.Try going early so you don't have to walk all the the around. Car rental is definitely needed
