「We were greeted by the most friendly gentleman, who checked us in, offered to take our bags and showed us to our room. He asked if we would like a table for dinner and invited us to join in with the quiz. The food was delicious, the waiting staff knowledgeable, chatty and even the other customers were friendly too. 」

「Nice hotel. Clean rooms and comfortable beds. There were a view issues with the service, but management sorted them out quickly. Food portion on small side for a man’s appetite. 」

「A bit off the beaten track with the last 2 miles being up a single vehicle road but the effort to get there is rewarded with the isolation that one can enjoy. Ideal as a walking base and this time for us as was part business we were often having to use the car to go into cardigan which spoils the purpose of being more country bound.」

「Accommodation is in well furnished self catering or modern rooms. This is not a hotel. Access and parking is convoluted and is not ideal for those with mobility problems. Rooms are accessed via a staircase. Room to room noise is evident and Saturday night is lively across the road until midnight. Breakfast is served at the 1176 restaurant and is very good with friendly staff and good locally sourced ingredients. There is nearby street parking for blue badge holders but would not recommend...
