The property is clean, love the scent of the lobby, a bit dated though. We probably came during off peak times before spring break so it's not that crowded which was good so you have a good quiet time. You cannot adjust the thermostat in your room, it only goes either 69F or 70F. So this came as a big surprise for us. In the pool area, they always run out of floaters, guests were hoarding it even if they were not using it. Floaters were "parked" in the guest rooms where they are swim walk outs. The property has about 10 restaurants but only 1-2 are open for breakfast or lunch. The food was ok, tried the Spanish and Mexican restaurant and was disappointed, I had a lot of expectations. The Grill restaurant and Seafood restaurant is by far the only decent option from the ones we tried. We went out for brunch before checkout and when we came back to our room, our luggages were gone. They took our luggages from our room before checkout without informing us, which we were surprised. Shouldn't they do a courtesy call before doing this? Again, another surprise for us. Other than those things, we tried to enjoy ourselves in the resort.

We had the excellence club but weren’t informed of all the perks at check in so we didn’t realize there was a private restaurant until the day of check out. It felt like the staff that checked us in was in a hurry. Other than that the property itself is great, the cleanliness was great. The only thing that I didn’t like was that the cleaning staff would stand in the hallway at 8 AM preparing their stuff and talking to each other very loudly there’s a cabinet that leads to outside so you can hear everything.

You can eat anything and won't get sick but the choice in the main restaurant at noon was less than what they had the 3 other times I was there. Only a cold buffet at lunch; No hot buffet like before; 2 choices for dessert: ice cream or sorbet OR fruit. But the food was good and the à la carte restaurants were good.

The food and the property were excellent. I did not like that I scheduled a 12 day vacation, only used 2 nights and had to return due to personal emergency. The hotel did not consider my personal situation over Christmas and would not discuss any type of compensation or refund for my situation. Management at the hotel was appalling and I would never visit or use their facilities again nor would I recommend anyone to stay at this property.

A very nice and comfortable proprty. Plenty of dining options. Excellent grounds. Nice and relaxing atmosphere. A bit more work removing plastics from the beach would be desirable. But overall - one of the nicest adults only resorts we have been to.

Food and entertainment was fantastic; there is always something to do when you want to, but relaxing places to hang out wgen you don't. The suite was incredible, and the property beautifully maintained. Best of all was the staff. Avid, Luis, Santos, Angelo, Jose.... all with such good energy and personality. We had a family emergency come up and had to leave after one day. The Excellence refused to give us any refund. Considering that this resort is an expensive all inclusive package and we only ate and drank for one day they could have given some consideration for at least that. Be aware if you book with the Excellence and you have to go home early you may lose thousands.

I had a swim up pool ocean front view in the excellence club area and loved the view. There were people getting up early in the morning to save spots but I didn’t have to worry because I was right there and had my own outdoor patio bed. The servers are attentive and come around to take drink orders. Housekeeping were attentive and made art out of the towels which was refreshing. I thought the bed was really comfortable and didn’t care too much for the room bar but I requested for other bottles to be swapped out during check in and reception told me it could take up to 2-3 days but never happened. I enjoyed drinks most at the Excellence Lounge because of the top shelf alcohol which you don’t find at many of the bars. I love that there’s a variety of restaurants and food options but I would not recommend the food from Spice if you are looking for authentic Korean or Japanese food. The room has wear and tear so don’t expect perfection. I could tell from the walls that they were painted white often and couch sunken in. The staff were friendly and approachable. I felt the size of the resort was perfect, not to big or small. The amount of activities were good and there was always something to do.
