First of all, Butte didn't feel safe. We watched a drug deal go down in a nearby fast-food parking lot prior to checking in. I then looked up the crime stats and was legitimately concerned for our safety. So, I wouldn't stay in Butte again.
The photos make this hotel look good, and the reviews are generally positive. But we didn't like this hotel.
It's clear the lot is too small for the scale of the hotel they built. This results in a cramped feeling throughout the entire property.
Staff: The staff were polite, but not super friendly. The person at the front desk tried to help when our key card wouldn't open the pool door.
Parking: The parking lot felt small. The portico is small and awkwardly positioned, causing concern that parking there to unload could block other vehicles.
Rooms: The room felt small. The beds had sides made of thin sheet metal, creating a loud clanging noise whenever we bumped into them.
Pool: The pool area is undersized, leaving little room to walk around, and the chairs are placed very close to the water’s edge.
Breakfast: The breakfast area is cramped, with some tables spilling into the lobby. While the food and selection weren't terrible, they weren't particularly impressive either. The two workers struggled to keep the food stocked.
After checking in, we immediately cancelled the reservation for our return drive through Montana. We found a better hotel in a better nearby city.
