「I arrived on New Years Eve, but the property hadn't warned me that the only food option was a three course meal at £44.50. Similarly on New Years Day, I went early for dinner at 6.15 to be told the kitchen closed at 6. No one had alerted me to the early closure. They did make me some Tapas. If I had known I would have eaten elsewhere before returning to hotel. The food on New Years Day was excellent, I just didn't want to spend that much money. 」

「It’s a quiet hotel in a rural area so not exactly ’buzzing’. As it’s an older building with add-ons finding your way to some bedrooms can be a story. It’s all fine, but not exactly a memorable experience. 」

「We’ve booked one night here at first, then we decided to go there one day before and booked one more day. We told the reception lady when we arrived check in, she said it’s ok, no need to do the check in again and we could stay in the same room. The next day at ten mins before ten, a housekeeper locked on our door and told us to check out. We’re surprised and told her our case, she told us to check with the reception. Then the reception said we’ve to check out and come back by 4 to check in...

「This hotel was a lovely place to stay. Tucked away in a quiet location within its own grounds, yet close to the centre of Fleet. There was a warm, cosy atmosphere and the staff were very helpful. Both the bar menu and the restaurant menu were good value, nicely presented and very tasty. Our room was equipped with all the necessary supplies and the bed was very comfortable. The only slight disappointment was that we could hear snoring from the neighbouring room. However that did not disturb us...

「The Hat het is a loverly picturesque pub/ hotel. Welcome excellent, food and ambiance perfect. VFM good. The thing that let it down was cleanliness of the room- smeared bathroom mirror looked like it was cleaned with a soiled cloth ( had to clean it to see any reflection!) the toilet rim covered in hair & dust & the lamp shades & corners of the room rife with cobwebs. We did enjoy our stay however and we did report the room dissatisfaction to the young service lady but no apology or explanation...

「A nice stay on our way back from Portsmouth to Lincoln. We arrived at 10.30 pm and made very welcome, we ordered a sandwitch in the bar which was no trouble. The room was fine . Good access to the motorways and plenty of safe parking if you have a nice car. Take an hour to discovery the vast grounds of the hall before you leave. We will stay here again. Graham & Gaynor R」
