  • The Basilica of the Holy Blood is a Roman Catholic minor basilica in Bruges, Belgium. Originally built in the 12th century as the chapel of the residence of the Count of Flanders, the church houses a venerated relic of the Holy Blood allegedly collected by Joseph of Arimathea and brought from the Holy Land by Thierry of Alsace, Count of Flanders. Built between 1134 and 1157, it was promoted to minor basilica in 1923. The 12th-century basilica is located in the Burg square and consists of a lower and upper chapel. The historic city centre is a prominent World Heritage Site of UNESCO. Along with a few other canal-based northern cities, such as Amsterdam, it is sometimes referred to as The Venice of the North. Bruges has a significant economic importance thanks to its port and was once one of the world's chief commercial cities. Good location and best view

Th location is right next to the key sightseeing spots, and surrounded by restaurants & cafe. Got river view and it's pretty night or day. Decent breakfast provided. A pleasant stay. But there is no lift (as expected in old buildings in Brugge) so make sure you be careful when bringing up your luggages up one or two floors with steep stairs.

Single night stay

We have stayed here for a single night. The hotel is right above its restaurant (very common in Brugges) though not inan easy-to-find location, but if you ask the passengers about the restaurant of the same name, everyone seems to have known it. Our room is on the 2/F and you have to go up by stairs. It is a very old hotel, so as the rooms, which you will have to open your room by a hardcore key. The room does have some smell, once enter, after you open the window, it kinda fades out. The windows are without locks. The washroom is clean, though the bath tub is a bit slippery and wet. This hotel covers a free breakfast, which we encourage to take and the receptionists are extremely nice. Free wifi is only accessible at the lounge of the restaurant. The signal does not cover to the rooms. Overall, it was a pleasant stay, but one night is enough. All hotels are at a similar style, restaurant on bottom and hotel on top.

古色古香木造老式大宅，無電梯，房間算大，現代化衛浴但水壓有點小，窗外景色很美。一樓餐廳非常古典，早餐豐盛。地點很好，旁邊就是遊船的上船點。

Hotel dificil de ubicar, mala atención al recibirme, sin elevador (solo escaleras), para subir equipaje al 2° piso, siendo personas de tercera edad, con enormes dificultades para cargar equipaje. Cuartos muy pequeño y baños muy complicados para asearse.

We arrived late to find the place locked up for the night. Luckily some other guests were coming back and had a key, we follows them in and were able to locate our room key. This next morning instead of getting chewed out the front desk was impressed we figured it out. The rooms here are tiny but hands down the best dining room and views on the canal in Bruges. We enjoyed the restaurant out front as well.

Very clean room, with a good size bathroom. Staff was very nice and accommodating! Free breakfast was an added bonus. Location is perfect, everything we wanted to do in Bruges was in walking distance!

Es como estar en un cuento de hadas, maravillosa ubicación, las instalaciones, el servicio, la comida. Todo espectacular!!! El día del checkout l, nos íbamos muy temprano, antes del desayuno y al ellos saberlo, nos gestionaron una bolsa con algunos panes y bollerías para tener de desayuno. Muchas gracias!
