「First time in this hotel, was impressed with the fact that it had a nice restaurant. Had breakfast there. There was one bed that was sagging in the middle, not really comfortable but doable. One sad thing was the coffee pot in the lobby was removed early, for me, I like to have a cup of coffee before I go to sleep. 」

「Check-in was easy and efficient. Diana is a very helpful innkeeper, she went extra distance to send us an item that we left behind in our room. We truly enjoyed quiet serenity of the island on the closing weekend of the season. Hope to return sooner rather than later.」

「If you stay here, you are literally at the center of downtown. Clean rooms, friendly staff. You need to check in at 1661 down the road and they will store your bags on arrival/departure day. This is my second time staying here and I would again in the opportunity presented itself. You can’t go wrong at Hendrickson house! 」

「Charming hotel. Love the history. Staff is extremely nice and welcoming. Enjoyed quietly reading a book by the fire pits. I happened to stay in a room that was above the furnace, I guess? So my “Comfort “ rating would have been higher, but my room was pretty hot - even with the window propped open. Not a huge deal tho. Really loved my first trip to BI and my stay at The National. Will definitely be back. Thanks again to the staff!」
