Reception was professional, property maintenance is bad for a four star hotel. Cleanliness of room not great. Spa facilities dirty, smelly, broken down spa bath,sauna. Very old decor and lockers in spa facility area. Would not recommend for spa day. Food over priced and they add 10 percent on top. 10 pound a day for parking for guests...Why. Breakfast should be included. Lack of milk, coffee in room. Comfy bed , good telly.

We stayed at this hotel for our daughters graduation. All the rooms were clean and tidy with plent of space. We will definitely look to book aga8n when staying in Bournemouth.

Mainly good with outbreaks of disturbence
A single night stay. All good except paper thin walls ( in the "lodge") and the neighbours from hell who were detrrmined to gain the world record for being inconsiderate.

Nice hotel, needs to be clearer on parking
Hotel was very nice but building works were going on during our stay which meant no lift access to swimming pool etc. Also parking is hit and miss, i believe hotel should highlight this more when booking, if you want to be parked in hotel then you need to be back there by 4pm, even if disabled, there are 2x spaces but anyone parks in them even non badge holders and this isn't checked by hotel staff Breakfast is very nice

Nice hotel
Lovely hotel. Bed a little too firm for me but fine for my husband. Shower over bath had hair in plug hole which need a good clean out as when I removed some of it it was black and smelt unpleasant. Apart from that the hotel was lovely. Breakfast very good indeed. All nice and hot. The pool was a decent size and not too cold. My only other criticism was that they automatically added 10% to every penny you spent with them. There are no drinks prices up so you don’t realise you are getting this 10% added on unless you just happen to notice a very very small one liner . Be warned if you don’t want to pay a service charge at the bar for your alcoholic drinks or tea’s and coffee’s tell the server when you order as it’s not obvious that they add on this extra charge. Apart from that it’s a nice hotel in a very good location close to the beach.

Weekend stay at Connaught Lodge
Stayed in a standard room in The Lodge. Really good size room, comfy bed and large bathroom. Really short walk to main hotel and facilities. Great inclusive breakfast, with friendly and attentive staff. We really enjoyed our stayed so extended by another night.

Nice clean room. Huge bathroom. Breakfast was very good, buffet style with good choices to suit everybody. Was not able to get tea and cake, although full afternoon tea could be booked in advance. Very loud wedding party kept us awake until midnight so thankful we weren't travelling with young kids. Friendly staff, good location. Would come here again

Lovely spacious room with extra lounge area. The tv in the lounge area had no remote control so we didn’t use it. It was a bit soulless- a couple more pictures on the big empty wall would’ve cheered it up a bit. I preferred the seating area in the main bedroom- much nicer space. Can’t believe there was no long mirror anywhere in the suite! Plenty of room for one! Also iron and ironing board would’ve been handy.

Needs some tlc
Only one person on reception at a busy time of check in. Did not get told about where anything was restaurant, gym ect.. The lodge is a bit odd and tired my bathroom had another door into the corridor, bit unnerving. Room facility’s a bit out dated. However the bed was very comfortable and breakfast was ok.
