I had originally planned just a week in North Devon having booked an air b and b to stay in, but when I decided to extend my stay it was already booked for the extra nights I wanted, so I had to find somewhere else. I chose this place mostly because of the fridges in the rooms, which meant I could buy my own gluten free food for supper at the supermarket to eat in my room.
It has been a while since I stayed in a bed and breakfast and I have to say I was very impressed. Lucy is an excellent host who really looks after her guests and the room was perfect with everything I needed - and a wonderful view. You need have no Covid concerns here as cleanliness is scrupulous. I had a double room to myself at the top of the stairs with a bathroom at the bottom of the stairs - the whirlpool bath was gorgeous and nice addition, with nice, big fluffy towels and even a bathrobe and slippers. Breakfast each morning was a lesisurely affair with plenty of choice, and plenty of gluten free options. When I booked I noticed that a cream tea on arrival was included and I wasn't about to turn that down. What a wonderful way to arrive after a long drive - to sit in the garden enjoying that wonderful view in the early autumn sunshine enjoying freshly brewed tea and the most yummy gluten free scones I have had in a long time. I highly recommend this place.
