「Extremely friendly service and staff, very generous sized room with large modern bathroom… mattress uncomfortable but did sleep ok.. hearty and plentiful breakfast with good selection, beautiful tasting coffee…. Nice lesuire facilities… overall an enjoyable stay….」

「A lovely hotel where the staff were absolutely wonderful, the kids were over the moon with the biscuits the lady on reception gave us, just a little touch but it was lovely. The room was a little dated but had all we needed and was well maintained and clean which is more important than the era of furniture (think 1990s pine era). The initial lack of signage for the car park had us almost parking out the front in a car park full of pot holes but as we got out we realised the car park was round...

「Outstanding! One of the best equipped places I’ve stayed in. Located right in the centre with easy access to restaurants and shops. It’s a few minutes walk from Tesco and car parks are a few minutes walk away. House has no parking but it’s free between 6pm to 8pm and the first hour is free between those hours. House is lovely and over three stories and I will definitely use it again. 」

「This was a perfect place to stop in Newark. The owners welcome you so warmly and you feel like you are family whilst there. The room was so lovely and the bath was wonderful. Breakfast was cooked to perfection and the homemade marmalade was excellent. We certainly will go back there again. 」

「31 Castle Gate gave us a very clean and comfortable 2 night stay . Private and quiet accommodation clear instruction re parking facilities. Easy access to shops, cafe and relaxing meal/ drink in the evening sat by the canal. Initial access wasn't granted by the code given but a very quickly answered call gave us access for the stay. Thank you to Daniel - very helpful and he also checked in with us to make sure access was ok . Would use the accommodation again . 」
