「This was an unscheduled stop on route to Cornwall due to bad weather. What a pleasant surprise, a beautiful old Inn a short distance from the A30. The staff were friendly and helpful, great service a lovely evening meal and an excellent breakfast. We will definitely be returning with hopefully better weather.」

「Always enjoy our stay at Union Road , it is so convenient for visiting my family. They make you feel so welcome. I am sorry to say if there is one thing we don't like is the fact that the rooms are dog friendly, and we are not dog lovers. I don't know if all rooms are dog friendly but if they are it might be a problem for future stays as my wife can break out in a rash.」

「The room was very cosy and clean. The bed was comfy and we both slept really well (in part because it was so quiet too). Massive TV with all streaming services available, tea and coffee making facilities and a powerful electric shower. The room could do with a little bit of touching up and maintenance but this was greatly outweighed by everything mentioned above. We had a few drinks in the pub both nights we were there and the staff were friendly and helpful. Spacious car park available...
