「We have visited this property a couple of times before booking a long weekend stay. I can not speak highly enough of the staff and the food! The room was clean and comfortable, the tiniest issue I had (it’s really small!) is that the bathroom door could not be closed and the fridge in the room would cone on periodically (which for a light sleeper can be a bit of an issue). 「This is a smart Japanese restaurant that has rooms above. Pros: the accommodation is very nice - our room was spacious, well maintained, beautifully decorated and warm, despite the single glazed window (due to being in Conservation Area probably). Really great location near High Street, 10 minutes walk from the Cathedral. Cons: as above, the window means noise from outside. Don't offer breakfast. Overall, recommended.」

「The shopkeeper was very enthusiastic and generous, the check-in was smooth and pleasant. The manor is in a good location, quiet & beatutiful, you can walk to most of the scenic spots in Winchester. 「 I normally refrain from negative comments but ... Parking is a nightmare experience - front car park was with difficult to find and then full ... 「Very exceptional stay at Riverside. Lovely big room, well heated and very comfortable. Beautiful view from the bar terrace and lovely staff. We were told our breakfast was included mistakenly, however the hotel allowed us to have coffee and tea. Highly recommend! 」
