「Staff very friendly and helpful. Spacious room. Plenty of parking. Down sides, restaurant was closed for a function, we did not know until arriving at check in desk. This did not impact us this time but may impact others. Hotel is out of Salisbury town centre, but there are bus stops very close to the hotel . Buses are frequent and very reasonable. This makes the hotel accessible to town. Would I use the hotel again? - Yes 」

「Lovely staff and a great Indian restaurant downstairs. Nice rooms, but not particularly well maintained or cleaned. 24 hour access is through a door at the bottom of the main stairwell that exits into the rear car park. One thing to note - breakfast is not offered here, but there is a Budgeons just down the road that opens at 7am and they have fresh pastries and a Costa machine. 」

「The staircase to our room is winding, and I need to go up and down before arriving at my room. The wall is thin and is not very sound proof, so I can hear what next door's saying and TV noise. It could be disturbing to someone during time for bed. There could be some seepage at the bath tub as there was a pool of water on the toilet floor after my shower, even though there was a glass door to stop water from splashing over to the floor. 「Although only booked for one night, but I had a very good experience.The staff are very helpful, the location is convenience that is close to town and just next to Cathedral. I love the fact that the hotel is a historical building and preserved so well from the inside and outside. Highly recommend to stay there while you visit Stonehenge, Old Sarum & Saisbury Cathedral.」

「Overall we had a lovely stay. The location cannot be beaten and is just around the corner from the market square. Parking is not so convenient and we did park about 5 minutes walk away and had to pay but it is a reasonable price. The bed was comfortable. 「It was our 3 time in staying at the hatchet inn it was good ,but not its usual standard ,the room above us which was no 3 the occupant decided to go bed at midnight waking us up ,by banging doors running up and down the stairs making a lot noise in the room this went on for 2 hours ,then at 4 am they started being noisy again didn’t get much sleep ,it did ruin our stay」

「This was a lovely place to stay and enjoy the Salisbury Cathedral city experience. Lots of positive points: quiet rooms, truly wonderful hospitality, proximity to the cathedral and town centre, great buffet breakfast, reasonable price. And the highlight was being able to stroll across the road to experience the beauty of a cathedral choral evensong service, with a superb Bach cantata and wonderful organ music (though you can access that even if staying elsewhere).
